Understanding S3
Is S3 only about environmental performance?
Environmental responsibility is one part of the approach. S3 also considers energy, customer experience, safety, operational resilience, service quality, innovation and maritime values.
Who is the standard for?
S3 supports marinas, yacht clubs and nautical centres, including sailing schools, from project design and development through to day-to-day operations.
Assessment & recognition
How does S3 relate to other certifications?
S3 builds on existing certifications and labels to assess the destination as a whole. Share the recognitions you already hold when discussing your assessment with M3 Monaco.
How does S3 relate to La Belle Classe Destinations?
S3 recognition at Flagship or Sovereign level is a prerequisite to apply for La Belle Classe Destinations by Yacht Club de Monaco. Affiliation follows a separate process and is not automatically granted with the S3 label.
Communication
Can a group use one facility’s recognition across all its sites?
Recognition applies to the facilities and activities named on the certificate. Refer to that scope and the awarded level in your communications.
