AMAALA ACHIEVES S3 SOVEREIGN RECOGNITION FOR ITS YACHT CLUB, MARINA AND SAILING SCHOOL
Monaco – September 2026 – M3 Monaco is proud to announce that the AMAALA Yacht Club, Marina and Sailing School have achieved Sovereign level under the S3 Smart & Sustainable Standard, representing the highest level of recognition within the international certification framework.
Set within the extraordinary AMAALA destination on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, the three facilities form an exceptional maritime ecosystem where architecture, operational excellence, hospitality and environmental responsibility have been considered as part of a unified vision.
At its heart, the AMAALA Yacht Club stands as a remarkable achievement in design and integration, creating a distinctive architectural landmark while remaining deeply connected to its surrounding landscape and marina environment.
The S3 assessment highlighted the quality and ambition of the Yacht Club, Marina and Sailing School across their design, operations, customer experience and environmental approach.
Particular attention has been given to the protection of coral ecosystems and marine biodiversity. The Sailing School further demonstrates AMAALA’s forward-looking approach through the deployment of a fully decarbonised fleet of boats and water toys, demonstrating how recreational boating and nautical education can evolve towards cleaner models.
The Sovereign certification recognises the exceptional level of maturity demonstrated across the S3 framework and AMAALA’s capacity to combine premium experiences with responsible development and operational performance.
Together, the Yacht Club, Marina and Sailing School represent a new generation of yachting destinations, where exceptional design and experience are inseparable from environmental responsibility and long-term performance.
The S3 Smart & Sustainable Standard assesses maritime facilities across eight pillars encompassing operational, environmental, customer experience, safety, innovation and maritime education performance.
